Crown wheel for driving a crushing machine used in a
quarry. The
teeth are cast in. The picture shows the mould split with the pattern
painted
silver still held in the top half of the mould. When the pattern is
removed
the mould top will be put on and the molten metal poured into the mould
will fill the cavity.

A paddle mixer arm produced for ICI Chemicals. It is used
to stir
acidic material in large vats.

The top of this chimney used to have a cast iron ring
manufactured
in sections to hold the brickwork in position.
Refurbishment was required and it was decided by the architect to
manufacture
a one piece shaped ring which could just be lifted in position. |
